By age 3, Bob MacDonough (B’Mac) was able to pick out melodies by ear on his mom’s piano. He quickly picked up the clarinet…and then the trombone…and then it struck! B’Mac’s good friend suggested that he try the bass. So, he got one and his life changed forever. A few years later, a passion for electric guitar settled into his heart as well. B’Mac has been in a several dozen bands during his 50 years of playing ranging from Classic Rock, Blues, Blues Rock, Country, Country Rock, and Jazz. He brings the experience of thousands of real-world gigs to help students understand the role of bass in a band as well as the most effective use of equipment.
