Summer Camps at Stages are a safe, creative, and fun summertime activity for all ages and skill levels! Make friends, improve your musicianship and show off your skills with an end-of-week performance!

2023 Summer Camps at Stages

Summer camps at Stages Music Arts hold the promise of endless fun, friends, and memories! Our camps offer your rock star the ultimate thrill of fulfilling their fantasies by performing their favorite songs with a band, singing their heart out in a musical theatre production or expressing their creativity through songwriting or electronic music composition. No musical experience necessary!

• Monday-Friday, 10 AM-3 PM (except where noted)
• Tuition is $525 (full week), $375 (3-Day Camp), $250 (Mini Music Makers)
• Camp discounts available for early-birds, referrals, siblings, and multiple camps (only one discount per enrollment)

July 31-August 4 | Musical Theatre

Musical theater camp is for kids who love to sing, dance and act! Campers will get a taste of what it is like to put on a musical production – incorporating basic theater dance, acting, voice and musical theater performance techniques. Kids will work together to learn and perform age appropriate musicals and bring characters to life on stage! Campers will make new friends, get inspired, exercise their creativity and hone their performance chops! The week culminates with a show-stopping performance for friends and family.

An exciting, week-long summer music camp for young musicians who want to rock out! Students develop their love for music, while honing their skills in a creative, supportive and energetic environment, and end camp with an onstage rock show. 

Recommended ages 13-18

June 26-30  |  July 17-21  |  July 31-August 4

Rock Camp Jr. is an awesome adventure for younger musicians (ages 9-12)! Campers will build musical skills while having a blast with fellow rockers – hanging out with like-minded kids who love rock-n-roll as much as they do! Kids will hone their instrument chops and learn how to be in a band – working as a team toward an end-of-week rock concert for friends and family! Experience is helpful but absolutely not required. Beginners welcome! Be warned: your child will have so much fun, they’ll want to do it again!

Aspiring producers, DJs and beatmakers – dive into the exciting world of recording and producing music with the guidance of industry experts! Electronic Music campers learn to use digital audio workstations (DAWs) and Ableton Live to write, record and share original compositions. Kids will learn how to create and manipulate sounds using virtual instruments, effects and recording techniques to become experienced producers. No experience necessary!

Recommended ages 11-18

July 17-21 (Songwriting Junior – ages 9-12)
August 14-18

Learn to write and record your own original music in this immersive experience! Campers will learn the anatomy of a great song and how to compose cool chord progressions, create memorable melodies, stack harmonies, write meaningful and impactful lyrics and produce instrument parts. At the end of the week, students will have the opportunity to record their songs in our state-of-the-art studio with a professional engineer- giving them a taste of what it’s like to be a real artist in the music industry.

August 14-18

Pop Star Camp is for aspiring singers and dancers who love to shine! Kids will have the opportunity to learn how to sing and dance like their favorite stars including Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello and Olivia Rodriguez! Your aspiring pop star will hone their vocal skills while learning age-appropriate dance moves in a fun, noncompetitive environment where everyone is a star! No instrument playing required. Dress to dance and come ready to have a blast!

Mini Music Maker Camp introduces kids ages 4-8 to the world of music in a fun and interactive way! Campers will learn the fundamentals through exciting games, songs and activities. Mini Music Maker camp is all about exploration – your child can learn the ukulele, jam on the drums, play the piano and more – building a foundation for a lifelong love of music and laying the groundwork for future specialization. Most importantly, they will have a blast in a safe and social setting, making friends and memories that will last a lifetime!

Recommended ages 4-8

August 14-18 

Learn the basics of audio engineering in this NEW Summer Camp! Students will learn what it takes to set up a digital audio workstation (DAW)  for recording & mixing, including the basics of the audio interface, microphone placement & techniques, headphone systems, digital and analog signal flow, reverb and delay techniques and so much more! At the end of the week, students will assist in recording original songs written by our Songwriting campers! Basic knowledge of recording and digital audio workstation (such as Ableton, Pro Tools, Garage Band, Logic Pro, etc) is preferred.

Camp FAQs

Payment

Payment in full is due at the time of registration for each student for each week of camp, unless you opt for a payment plan. Stages will contact new students for payment information. For current students, the credit card on file will automatically be charged unless otherwise specified.

Stages Music Arts offers a payment plan that consists of monthly payments. The number of monthly payments in your plan will be determined by your registration date, with the final payment being due on the first day of camp. If you opt to participate in a payment plan, the first installment is due upon registration.

Cancellation

Camp tuition is non-refundable but transferable to another service including other camps, band classes or lessons. No refunds will be given if your camper fails to attend or experiences incomplete attendance for any reason. Should Stages Music Arts need to cancel a summer camp, you will have the option for a refund or a credit towards other services.

Lunches/Snacks

Please plan on providing packed lunches for students. There is a refrigerator for campers to store their lunches and a microwave available for use. Students may also order delivery from any of the restaurants local to Stages. When possible, campers will eat outdoors on our beautiful garden patio; during inclement weather, the Performance Hall will be used.
