Jefferson Hirshman is a passionate professional guitarist. He graduated from UMBC in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies and Music Technology. Jefferson regularly performs as a professional musician in orchestra pits, jazz combos and his original rock band, bringing his real-world musician experience to his lessons. He is an enthusiast of progressive rock, jazz, midwest emo, funk, r&b, math rock and shoegaze. Some of his favorite artists include Queens of the Stone Age, Chon, Paramore, King Crimson, and Pat Metheny. Jefferson values guitar versatility in his teaching as an important aspect of being a music professional. Jefferson currently leads Baltimore progressive rock band Love For Strangers.
