Inspired by Disney’s Fantasia to play violin at age 4, violist Anna Bross hasn’t been able to stop performing ever since. She has gone from playing in Grandma’s living room to performing in Symphony Orchestras and Chamber Groups all across America. Exploration is at the heart of her approach to playing and teaching, and she also performs with various rock and pop groups in the Washington DC/Baltimore region.
Anna has a tremendous passion for teaching and has developed a pedagogy that prioritizes working with the brain and body to support ease of movement and strength of expression in a sustainable practice. She aims to engage with her student’s curiosity to develop their inner drive, artistry, and skill. Anna received her Bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in 2011 and her Master’s Degree from the Peabody Conservatory in 2013.
