Joe Martone is a bassist, performer and educator living in Baltimore, MD. Joe has been teaching music for 20 years and brings to his lessons the extensive knowledge he’s gained as an in-demand performing, touring and recording artist. Lessons are relaxed, fun, comprehensive, and ensure students will gain the skills to become confident and creative musicians.
Joe began playing bass at the age of twelve. Soon, he was playing in his school concert and jazz bands, in rock bands with friends and gaining real-world gigging experience as a teenager. He’s toured throughout the country and currently plays with a number of groups in the Baltimore/DC area, ranging in styles from rock and pop to funk and jazz.
Joe attended UMBC where he earned a B.A in Music Composition and a Certificate in American Contemporary Music Composition.
