A native of Anguilla and son of reggae legend Bankie Banx, Omari Banks brings a truly global perspective to his music. His sound fuses reggae’s rhythmic roots with elements of rock, soul, blues, and folk—creating a style that is both deeply grounded and refreshingly expansive. Known for his breezy Caribbean grooves, soulful vocals, and expressive guitar work, Omari delivers electrifying live performances that connect across cultures and audiences.     Our first Blues Jam was a smashing success and we are so thrilled to do it again! In partnership with the Baltimore Blues Society,  the blues jam brings together students, local musicians, and blues lovers of all levels for an evening of authentic blues, community, and live collaboration. Whether you’re stepping up to the stage or just soaking in the music, this is a welcoming, supportive environment rooted in the blues tradition. Anchored by a house band from the Baltimore Blues society, beginner and intermediate players will have plenty of opportunities to grow by playing alongside experienced performers. All instruments and experience levels are welcome. Come play, listen, connect, and be part of Baltimore’s blues community at Stages Music Arts. Learn more about the Baltimore Blues Society.
