Coming from a classical background after singing from a young age, Shannon found her passion in vocal jazz performance and is currently pursuing a bachelor degree in jazz at Towson University. She took piano and clarinet lessons from age 7 and developed an interest in teaching students and inspiring young minds to develop love and appreciation for music and the arts. Shannon currently performs in a jazz combo and jazz vocal ensemble at Towson, and gigs locally playing contemporary music. Shannon’s focus lies in showing children the importance of self expression and building them up with musical technique that they can carry throughout their lives.
