Stages Music Arts is proud to presents a Masterclass with virtuoso guitarist Oz Noy on September 27th at 7 PM. “It’s Jazz. It just doesn’t sound like it.” This is how virtuoso guitarist Oz Noy describes his intoxicating blend of jazz, funk, rock, blues, and r&b. Born in Israel, Oz started his professional career at the age of 13 playing jazz, blues, pop and rock music. By age 16, he was playing with top Israeli musicians and artists. By age 24, he was one of the most established studio guitar players in the country. Oz’s success both as an artist and an instrumentalist has built incredible demand for him as an instructor. The performance will feature a number of special guests including some of Stages' own rock star students as well as general manager, Charles Simon on guitar. This event is a perfect Friday night hang for music lovers of all ages- we hope to see you there!

Solo and duo artists - join LJR Creative for an all day video and photo content generation event to help you get affordable video & photo content to promote your music. Videos are shot with a single moving camera angle (see these video examples from previous events for samples). Each artist gets a 45-minute slot to film up to 4 of these one take videos (note: limit of 4 takes per song). The first video is $250 for solo and duo artists, $500 for bands. Photos are $200.

Music has been referred to as the "universal language" - how well do you speak it? This two-part series - led by the brilliant and versatile bassist Steve Zerlin - will expand your understanding of what you are actually doing with your instrument, enabling you to grow with unlimited creativity as a player, composer or improviser. Steve Zerlin is an incredible instrumentalist - fluent in many styles of music, who has played with many top artists, including Jerry Garcia, Dennis Chambers, Victor Wooten, Carl Filipiak, Kenny Loggins, The Drifters, The Platters and more. October 21 & 22nd from 1-5 PM each day. In this class, you will: Deepen your theoretical understanding of music Learn to fluidly speak the language of ALL styles of music, including cross-cultural Improve your audio recognition (ability to really hear what you are listening to, including chords beyond the diatonic) Obtain a comprehensive and integrated understanding applicable to all keys Develop a practical application of the "circle of fifths" No prior knowledge is required. Bring a notebook, a pencil and an instrument if you like (guitar or bass most useful). **ONE ticket covers BOTH days of this comprehensive Masterclass.**
